A fire on a crowded bus in Limapuluh Kota, a town in the West Sumatra province of western
Indonesia, killed 13 passengers, including five children, and 12 others were hospitalised with
burns.

Firefighters from brigades across parts of western Victoria, Australia fought a massive
supermarket blaze at the IGA supermarket in Portland that caused more than $4 million damage
with extensive stock losses expected. Crews were deployed from brigades up to three hours
away to fight the fire.
